The Free Trade Zones Association of the Americas (AZFA) is a non-profit organization that promotes and defends the Free Trade Zones regime through integrations, research and cooperations with the public and private sectors of all the Latin American countries. Currently, it is the most important regional Free Trade Zone Association and represents its members in 23 countries on 2 continents bringing together more than 600 Free Trade Zones with more than 10,000 tenants.

AZFA STATUTES
The current bylaws of the Free Trade Zones Association of the Americas (AZFA) were approved by its Members in the Extraordinary Assembly on December 15, 2015. This document specifies the nature and purpose of the Association, the provisions on heritage; the duties and responsibilities that the members of the Association must fulfill; the structure and functions of the administration and management bodies; the requirements for the constitution of General and Extraordinary Assemblies; termination of the mandates and functions of the Board of Directors; roles and responsibilities of the president, treasurer and executive director; control and inspection bodies and the requirements for the modification of the bylaws, among other contents.

In order to support the different activities developed by the Association, the legal committee and promotion committee were created. All interested members can be part of them. The committees will support the Association on various issues to continue positioning it as the most important regional Free Trade Zones Association, as well as promoting the correct development and understanding of Free Trade Zone incentives and the significant contribution they generate to their economies.
